We spent a delightful day exploring Santa Fe! We visited here in 2008 and while it has grown quite a bit, the city is still as charming as ever. The architecture, the colors, the food and even the fences are unique. It is also an extremely dog friendly city making it easy with Josie. A beautiful chile ristra will hang on our door when we return home.
We started our day at the Square. Parking is a bit of a challenge but we managed to find some metered parking only a block from the square. After visiting the visitor's center and getting some suggestions we did a little shopping and had lunch at the Famous Plaza Cafe. It is still a family run business and has been open since 1911. The food was very good and the service excellent.
We stayed at Santa Fe Skies RV Resort. The sites were well sized with a patio and chairs at each site. We loved the art theme throughout the entire park. It was quiet and a great place to rest a couple of nights.
Traveling from Santa Fe to Gallup, New Mexico was scenic to say the least. We feel we have run out of adjectives to describe the beauty around us. And our final New Mexico sunset (at least for this trip) was not disappointing.
